Special Projects

2007        CADES Assisted faculty and students of Cheyney University in the creation of a 45’ mural for the Children and Adults Disabilities Education Services Building in Swarthmore, PA.

2006        Art Partners Studio. Program Director for special art programs in the City of Coatesville. Coordinated onsite classes at the Coatesville Memorial Community Center. Also coordinated offsite classes with non-profit organizations serving special populations such as special needs students and senior citizens.

Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, Inc. Created painting as a supporter of the partnership for annual auction.

Women’s History Month Exhibition. Curated student art show with fellow faculty. Collaborated with Laurel House, a Women’s Domestic Violence Shelter for the show to travel to Laurel House’s annual Gala Dinner.

Cheyney University of Pennsylvania Fine Art Honor Society. Acted as advisor for Fine Art Honor Society, a chapter of the National Art Education Association.

2005    White Ribbon Exhibition, a project created in conjunction with Project for the End of Rape; an international juried exhibition focusing on ending rape in our time. Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, Cheyney, PA. Project Coordinator, Juror.

Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, Inc. Created sailboat painting as a supporter of the partnership.

Juror, Tyme Gallery Annual Juried Show, Havertown, PA. Was one of four jurors.

Let Freedom Ring Student Show. Assisted with curating exhibit for Cheyney University students in City Hall, Philadelphia, PA. Over 50 student works were exhibited.

A Totem Rhythms Project. Assisted with Cheyney University students and faculty members to create a totem pole commemorating the Lewis and Clark Expedition. We spent one week in Liberty Place in Philadelphia creating the totem pole in a public venue. The pole then went on exhibit at the Academy of Natural Sciences Museum, Philadelphia, PA.

2004    Cow Parade International. Created “Liberty Belle” with Cheyney University students and faculty as part of the Cow Parade International Project. Cheyney University, Cheyney, PA and Harrisburg, PA
